North American Relay Market Opens First Quarter of 2022 12% Over Q4 2021 and 23% Over Q1 2021

Michael Schwert’s relay market overview shows total reported sales for all relay types in North America for the first quarter of 2022 were up 12 percent compared to the previous quarter and up 23 percent from the same quarter of 2021.
His findings reveal that the total booking dollars reported for all relay types in North America for Q1 2022 were 3 percent more than the previous quarter and up 12 percent from Q1 2021’s total bookings. The first quarter’s book-to-bill ratio for dollars was 1.149. Booking units in Q1 2022 ran 6 percent below Q4 2021. The first quarter’s book-to-bill ratio for units was 1.188.
Additionally, in the first quarter of 2022, sales were up in dollars and units for EMRs and SSRs compared to Q4 2021. ASPs were down for SSRs and up for EMRs. In total, dollars were up 12 percent and units up 2 percent with an ASP 9 percent higher.
