Why are they used?

JFETs the simplest type of field effect transistor. It can be used as an electronically-controlled switch or as a voltage-controlled resistance. There are 2 type JFET : n-channel JFETs. p-channel JFETs

Applications / How do you spot opportunities?

Application as:

  • Displacement sensors
  • High input impedance amplifiers
  • Low-noise amplifiers
  • Differential amplifiers
  • Constant current sources
  • Analogue switches or gates
  • Voltage controlled resistors

How to ask for opportunities?

Do you need JFET as gate current, and cannot use MOSFET, because of the some low-noise, high input-impedance op-amps requirement?
