TE Connectivity KMXP AMR Position Sensors

TE Connectivity Measurement Specialties KMXP Anisotropic Magneto-Resistive (AMR) Position Sensors are high-resolution, high-precision sensors with an accuracy of 10μm to 50μm in ranges between 1mm and 5mm. The sensors have improved precision when compared to commonly used Hall sensors. These sensors can operate reliably and accurately in high temperatures of up to 150°C and other harsh conditions like dust, oil, and dust. KMXP sensors are available in 2 different DFN packages for multiple orientation options and can be easily integrated into almost any automated assembly process.

Features

  • Contactless measurement
  • Design freedom with perpendicular or flat soldering versions and a small sensor wall thickness for large application air gaps
  • DFN package makes it ideal for any PCB assembly process
  • Easy integration with tape and reel packaging
  • High-resolution and high-precision
  • Works in harsh conditions like high temperature, dirt, oil, and dust

Applications

  • Industrial machinery
    • Sawing or drilling equipment
  • Medical high-precision mechanical controls
    • Advanced prosthesis steering
    • Bed control
    • Precision catheters
    • Syringe pumps
    • X-ray equipment
  • Robotics in industrial automation
