The SFP transceiver module is a high performance integrated duplex serial data link for bi-directional communication over copper cable. It is designed for high speed data rates of up to 4.25 Gb/s to support applications such as Fibre Channel, InfiniBand, and Gigabit Ethernet. The hot pluggable feature allows changing to/from another SFP-compatible module without having to remove system power. The SFP transceiver module is a available as an inexpensive integrated SFP cable assembly. Each module provides complete serial ID compliance.
