About The Role

The Supplier Business Management Manager helps to cultivate the supplier relationship, facilitate supplier programs, develop strategic business plans and oversee their implementation through business reviews for assigned suppliers.

Responsibilities:

  • Cultivates and maintains strong relationships with suppliers
  • Facilitate and coordinate supplier programs, product launches, and training with sales, marketing, and Asset Management teams.
  • Develop strategic business plans with suppliers and drive sales organization to achieve results.
  • Coordinate and participate in business reviews at headquarters and branches as needed.
  • Serves as a sales consultant to support the sales team on major opportunities, including accompanying account calls to provide direct supplier support.
  • Operates as the primary point of contact for supplier-related issues.

Requirements: 

  • Bachelor's Degree from a University in related field and min of five years’ experience in related role; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Previous sales and electronics industry experience is preferred.
  • Creative ability to contribute to product marketing ideas, strategies, brochures, and related materials.
  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills to engage suppliers and internal/external stakeholders.
  • Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills to build relationships across multiple levels.
  • Possesses strong analytical, problem solving and organization skills.
  • Proven teamwork and collaboration skills to foster cooperation within the Product department and the broader organization.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook) at an intermediate level.
  • Proficiency in the Japanese language is an advantage.
  • Prior experience working with Japanese suppliers is highly desirable.
