About The Role
As a Field Application Engineer, you’ll drive design-in activities by supporting customers with technical expertise, identifying new project opportunities, and working closely with suppliers and the sales team. You will help convert designs to orders, conduct technical roadshows, and stay updated on market trends and technologies.
Responsibilities:
- To design-in our focus products/ and focus end applications to customers;
- Work closely with our suppliers to increase design-win registrations in new and existing customers, spotting opportunities, delivering samples, and assisting engineers on design where necessary;
- Work closely with the sales team to convert projects to win orders to achieving sales objectives;
- Establishes and maintains effective business rapport with customer’s R&D departments and component engineers introducing new products through road-shows or joint visits with key suppliers;
- Finding new customers in specific end applications to help expand our customer base and potential sales;
- Work closely with suppliers enlisting their support for more in depth technical support
- To help in the organization of customer road-shows presenting with suppliers key products of interest and technology roadmaps;
- To attend supplier regular training events and seminars, to meet supplier technical tests and qualifications;
- Resolve customer technical problems, and following through in a timely manner to provide the highest level of service available;
- Maintains market awareness on competitor products, industry trends and new concepts by reading industry periodicals, networking, attending periodic update training events and trade shows. Create new design opportunities.
Requirements:
- Degree in Electrical/Mechanical/Electronic Engineer or equivalent;
- At least 5 years electrical/ component engineering experience within the distribution industry, with 2-3 years’ experience as an FAE, having connectors experience is a plus;
- Able to work independently with minimum supervision and meeting deadlines;
- Mature disposition, positive attitude and self-motivated;
- Good command of spoken and written in Chinese and English.
